Construction isn't always linear, but we keep projects moving with integrity, clear communication, and pride in our craft.The Accounts Payable Coordinator supports the financial operations behind every home we build by managing invoice processing, vendor payments, and job cost tracking across multiple projects. This fast-paced, detail-driven role directly impacts cash flow and vendor relationships and requires strong organization, accuracy, and accountability.<h2 style="margin-bottom: 4pt; margin-top: 18pt;">Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Receive, review, code, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner</li><li>Enter invoices into QuickBooks Online and verify correct job cost allocation</li><li>Cross-check invoices against purchase orders and approved budgets; quickly resolve discrepancies</li><li>Process approximately 150 to 250 invoices per week with accuracy and efficiency</li><li>Communicate clearly with project managers and office staff regarding budget or PO inconsistencies</li><li>Interact professionally and confidently with vendors and subcontractors regarding payment schedules, questions, or discrepancies</li><li>Run weekly accounts payable reports and process payments based on approved schedules</li><li>Prepare and issue checks and electronic payments as needed</li><li>Match and reconcile company credit card statements and receipts</li><li>Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation</li><li>Assist in refining and improving accounting processes, workflows, and documentation systems</li><li>Support overall financial accuracy across multiple active residential construction projects</li></ul><h2 style="margin-bottom: 4pt; margin-top: 18pt;">Qualifications</h2><ul><li>5 years of Accounting experience or a degree with 2 years of experience (Required)</li><li>5 years of Accounts Payable experience or a degree with 2 years of experience (Required)</li><li>Construction accounting experience preferred</li><li>QuickBooks Online experience required</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Hyphen, and Outlook preferred</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Associate degree preferred</li></ul><h2 style="margin-bottom: 4pt; margin-top: 18pt;">Pay &amp; Benefits</h2><ul><li>$17.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience</li><li>Full-time, in-office position</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health Savings Account (HSA)</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Holiday pay</li><li>Education Assistance Program</li><li>Home Purchase Discount Program</li></ul><h2 style="margin-bottom: 4pt; margin-top: 18pt;">Why Join Horizons East</h2><ul><li>Be part of a growing residential construction company</li><li>Work in a team-oriented, supportive environment</li><li>Contribute to process improvement and company growth</li><li>Play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy across multiple active projects </li></ul>
