We're hiring a detail-oriented Estimator to complete takeoffs, prepare cost estimates, coordinate vendor/sub pricing, and issue purchase orders that keep materials flowing and projects on schedule. This role has a direct impact on accuracy, profitability, and the overall build process.

What You'll Do

• Review plans and produce detailed quantity takeoffs and material lists
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for full residential builds
• Work with project managers and field teams to clarify scopes and jobsite needs
• Solicit and compare vendor/subcontractor pricing; maintain current pricing databases
• Issue purchase orders and track material delivery status
• Maintain digital records for estimates, quotes, POs, and approvals
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and vendor negotiation
• Update estimating systems and support budgets, forecasts, and variance tracking
• Process plan changes and adjust estimates accordingly

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of residential estimating, purchasing, or project coordination
• Strong understanding of residential assemblies, sequencing, and building codes
• Experience with digital takeoff tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, STACK, etc.)
• Comfortable with construction technology and Excel; ERP experience a plus (Hyphen Homefront or similar)
• Valid driver's license and ability to visit job sites as needed
• Local to Jacksonville, NC or willing to relocate (commutable range preferred)
• Organized, systems-minded, and able to follow and improve SOPs
• Bonus: Field experience in residential construction

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000 to $70,000/year, depending on experience
