Construction Drafter

We're hiring a detail-oriented Draftsman to produce accurate residential construction drawings that support efficient, high-quality builds. This role plays a critical part in translating design intent into build-ready plans that guide estimating, purchasing, and field execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Draft complete residential plan sets, including foundation, floor, roof, plumbing, electrical, and elevation plans. 
• Create detailed drawings for built-in cabinetry, fireplaces, elevation options, foundations, footings, wall sections, and framing 
• Utilize digital tools including Excel, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams efficiently Interpret architectural concepts, technical specifications, and construction requirements Revise plans based on feedback, design changes, and field conditions 
• Collaborate with estimating, construction, and office teams to ensure plans align with build standards 
• Maintain organized digital drawing files and documentation 
• Support continuous improvement in drafting standards and workflows 
• Generate site specific plans with HEBC selections and requirements 
• Generate "house-box" fit preliminary plan utilizing mapping data 
• Proficient in switching tasks as HEBC/owner will have a variety of real estate projects 

Qualifications 

• Prior experience as a drafter or a degree/certification in drafting or a related field (required) 
• Strong technical drawing skills with close attention to detail 
• Knowledge of residential construction methods and materials 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications 
• Experience with drafting software; Revit Architecture by Autodesk preferred 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment Ability to relocate to or commute to Jacksonville, NC (required) 

Pay & Benefits
